Last day of the year! 2026 sure came quickly.

Errands yesterday went more or less smoothly and our friends had arrived when I got back with Justice after his vet appointment.

Last month when I had my first Evenity injections for osteoporosis they hurt like crazy - not the needle but the liquid burned and hurt so badly I was having bad dreams about going again. I read about ways to mitigate that but the major thing was that the stuff should be at room temperature. Well apparently it wasn't the first time because it really wasn't bad at all yesterday. The young man who gave it asked what time my first appointment was and because it was one of the first in the day said it probably hadn't been out of,the refrigerator long enough to get to room temperature. From now on I am making sure my appointments are later in the day (he suggested at least after 10 am).

We went to our favorite Mexican place with our friends for dinner: guacamole and fajitas. Yummm...

Today the guys are going out to get fish for dinner tonight. I think we are going to grill grouper on the grill but do it in a foil pouch with some tomatoes and capers on it. Sounds yummy. Need to plan vegetables. Our friends will be here until tomorrow morning when they leave for their rental house on the Keys. But today DH plans to take them on a brewery tour.

It is 36 degrees outside right now! The heat is on even though DH hates turning it on in Florida. The house was 64 when I got up. The cold spell continues through tomorrow morning but then should start warming up and rebound by the weekend.

Have a noisemaker New Years Eve!

Is 64 cold in the house for you? l like it cool in the house when I sleep. If it weren't for Ron, I'd have the heat turned down to 60, or just plain off at night. I have to demand that he leave it no higher than 62. Otherwise, I get really stuffed up and headachy.

When we first got married, DH turned the thermostat down to 55 at night (heat, not air conditioning). When we had our first baby he relented, because he though that might be too cold for baby. We have settled on 68 or 67bfor sleeping. I think it's cold in the house if it's below 70 during the winter day, but I'm fine with leaving the AC around 77 during the summer. Do you keep the house at 62 during the day? I would die.

Argh. This fever is not fun (101 consistently). Tylenol isn't helping much. Fever, aches, chills, skin sensitivity everywhere and a drippy throat. But I can breathe through my nose easily. Does that sound like the flu?

At least I have nothing else going on this week! Funnily enough, I haven't lost my appetite. Would've been nice...

Off to nap. Take care all!

Sounds like flu to me. I've been generally pretty awful since the 26 same as you with the addition of brain fog and extreme fatigue. Sleeping and sitting 20 hours/day. Will wake up feeling better get up and completely drained by the least small chore. Concerned about the high temperature (mine is only slightly raised). Push those fluids and be a convalescing C****il fully better. Sending healing juju out to all under the weather!

I have to agree it sounds like influenza. Comes on fast, sore throat, fever., aches, chills. The only symptom missing is coughing. Hopefully that is NOT coming. Being able to breath through your nose also says probably flu, as colds usually bring nasal congestion.
