120 - down a bit thank goodness. Maybe the nasal congestion and the slight constipation are pushing it up. I didn't eat a lot yesterday because I wasn't very hungry.
The airboat ride was good - one of those things you only need to do once but is worth it. We keep taking guests so this was the 4th or 5th time for me. But it was probably the best because it was warm and sunny so lots of alligators swimming and sunning as well as a lot of birds of all different types. DS really enjoyed it.
We had a nice time at the tailgate party at the clubhouse, then came home to watch the 8:15 Patriots game. It started out rough but then I guess the Patriots pulled it off. I went to bed at halftime so didn't see the end. But I did win some money for one of my football squares (my DD does it - I usually buy 2 $5 squares)!
Today I have water aerobics, then we leave mid-afternoon for Orlando to stay overnight and go to Universal tomorrow. I used ChatGPT to do a schedule prioritized to see as much of the Harry Potter stuff as possible.
But first I have to straighten for the housekeepers who come at 8:30. Have a meritorious Monday!

Aside from going to Walgreens that day for my nose washer, Safeway to get a grocery order, and getting my hair done Friday, I haven't really been out of the house or pretty much my jammies since December 28th. I'm a homebody, but this is getting a little depressing. Still snotty.
I do need to go mail my estimated taxes. A reminder too that the post office has changed the rules of postmarking as of December and will postmark stuff when they decide to process it, not when you drop it off. So things can be late even if you mail it on time (taxes, ballots, bills). You can walk it in and ask them to hand postmark things, so that's what I'll be doing. Living in a rural area this was already an issue here as our mail goes to Phoenix to be processed. My friend's property taxes were late as a result before they realized nothing gets postmarked here for a few days.
The family friend who is moving here and taking several of my rugs wants to come roll them out and measure them later today. They weigh a TON, so I guess a workout is my price for getting rid of them. I hope her daughter can help, because I can't do it alone.
Just stopped to do the nose washer. So incredibly satisfying and I can breathe so well right after! Best $35 ever.
I think I'm going to get the rest of the ornaments off the tree and get my friend's daughter to help me get the top section off the tree. I can get it on, but it's get a little too high to get it off by myself. I need to tip it over part way to pull it off.
It does seem as though I've lost most of my sense of taste. I can slightly taste things, but not like I should. Weird. I hope it comes back soon. Taste is my favorite sense!
Anyway, on with my day. I need to get my house looking a little less chaotic before the people come over. Take care all.

201 this morning.
Swelling continues, but it sure did help getting Liz's timeline. It makes me feel like I'm on point with the healing process. I took the last pain killer around midnight last night. Switched over to extra strength tylenol today and it's working well.
I think when it's elective (or as BFF says, "self inflicted") surgery there is an underlying belief that recovery will be smoother, shorter, and easier. Once I had the surgery I could feel how very involved it actually was. It's amazing to me that I look as good as I do. I should look like a car accident victim, but I don't. Surgical skill matters.
CC, I hear you. I'm feeling a bit closed in myself and it's only been 5 days. However, the first time I had covid in March 2020, it took me weeks and weeks to feel well again. Even then, I had breathing issues well into the summer months. I can't imagine what it would have been like for me if I had still been a smoker! I think the first round of Covid is a doozy, vaccinated or not!
Diamond D, glad you were able to get home, if only for a short time. Being in one's own house is recuperative.
Liz, hope time at universal with DS is fun. I've not been. I still would like to revisit DisneyWorld in Orlando. I was there in the spring of 1994. So much more to see now, though some old favorites are gone (e.g. The Explorers' Club).
A mending Monday for me.
