I bet waiting for your buyer's house to sell is indeed stressful. Praying it all works out!

What a convincing way to put it: exercise is as important as brushing your teeth.

Another mad dash to sell stuff has many people coming our way to pick stuff up!

Getting nervous about the sale of the 3rd house in the line of houses that need to be sold before ours goes through. Potential buyers were supposed to make an offer "soon" but we have not heard anything. I mean it's only been 2 days but such and important piece of the puzzle. Our sellers put a clause in our contract that the 3rd house must have a buyer by Oct. 20 or our deal is a no deal. Fingers crossed it all works out!

Deli shaved ham on hard rolls and potato salad for dinner. The grocery store DC1 works at had a Sunday ham special each week, so that's what we are going with!

Liz, glad your tub is no longer drab grey. Enjoy your time with DH now that he is home again!

DD, tickets to Brazil purchased! Yay! How exciting.

Diane, your neck of the woods sounds like a beautiful place to visit. Will have to add it to my list of places I want to go!

Peps, I could never do your travel schedule for the dog shows. Glad it doesn't seem to burn you out too much. I have no idea how you did it while you were teaching.

CC, still feeling blue? Hoping things in your life are going okay. Miss Kirby stories and pics!

Greetings all

Another bigly sunny day here and little wind. It would be a good day to paddle on the bay. That is an activity that is beyond me but looks fun. Not sure if the fall whale migration is on yet but what a sight that would be.

So yeah the winery was fun. Should any of you feel like traveling and want a new option, consider coming out here to the redwoods. There are spectacular and empty beaches, loads of redwoods with drives or hikes, wine tasting, funky art venues, fishing, fabulous outdoor views, fun restaurants and all sorts of peculiar stuff. There is an arts organization called the Rural Burl Mural Bureau. Say that fast 3 times. United Airlines flies here direct from Denver, San Fran and LA.

Anyway we watched the ducks and ate tastee sandwiches. Studio buddy was actually rather calm and no so manic so it was nice. Good time and the Ducks pulled it out at the last second.

Not much planned today. Gym time as soon as hair is half dry. It is getting to be sort of tedious and I need to remind myself that it is as important as brushing teeth.

Liz hope the storm passes without too much disruption. Hope that tropical depression fizzles out.

Go Vikings DD. And continue to enjoy the fall in the slow lane.

Peps when you come back through Nebraska consider stopping at a Runza drive in for a Runza sandwich. Fast food chain along 1-80. It is baked bread stuffed with hamburger, onion and cabbage. A great treat. First thing I get when I go back there. Hope you are rocking the show.

Hair almost dry. Time to move.

Instead of a soggy Sunday we are having a sunny Sunday. Hopefully the tropical storm doesn't mess with your power. Not fun to be without air conditioning in Florida!

Diane the winery afternoon sounds so lovely. Loved the picture of the band in front of the Redwood tree.

Good heavens Peps, you are a road warrior. How smart you were to ditch the RV and get your much more nimble van.

Paula, I bet you are going to have a stream of visitors from the north to you lovely home in Florida. The first year my BIL lived in California ( he since moved back) we had to make a reservation months in advance to stay at their house. : )

We booked our tickets to Brazil!! We leave Minneapolis on January 12 and return February 23. I am so excited. I can't really think about anything else!! I have now spent hours on AirBnb looking for a place to stay with a pool. I will start narrowing down the options this week.

We had a nice evening with our nephew and BFF. It was a perfect night for a bonfire.

I'm watching the Vikings game with DH, and they are losing. He said he likes having the game in the morning, because it will free up the rest of the day. : ) Apparently the Vikings play in London next week.

The bathtub is white! Turns out it had been painted previously with a roller (not sprayed). The previous owner must have done it to get that spectacular battleship gray look... That is a good sign for how the reglazing will hold up in the future as that bathtub has been in use after being painted for at least. 5 years and I didn't know that it wasn't the original finish. Will put a picture up after we take off the rest of the tape which stays on until later this afternoon. The smell was a little obnoxious but not overwhelmingly so. We stayed on the lanai with the doors to the condo shut most of the day, then the 2 bathroom fans were running with the bathroom door closed all night which made it possible to sleep in the house. With better weather we could have opened the windows to get rid of the smell but not at 90 degrees with periodic thunderstorms.

Speaking of rain, we were supposed to play 9 holes of golf with friends this afternoon but it will likely be rained out today. Even if not actively raining at that point the course will probably be all soggy. BTW we are under a topical storm watch because of tropical depression 9. If it comes, it will be mostly rain and some wind so we aren't too concerned unless we lose power which would be very uncomfortable this time of year. But it is still too early to worry about that.

Have a soggy Sunday!

I absolutely would be exhausted with that kind of traveling. Reminds me of when DH and I made our first drive to Florida together. We decided never to do that again LOL. But you will have probably driven even more miles as our trip was only 1650 miles.

Definitely boring after a while and absolutely not good sitting in place for hour after hour.

That looks like a fantastic place to spend time at on a weekend! And that music should would appeal to me.

DSD has one of those lift up tables - very handy if you eat in the living room a lot. I think you can find them on Wayfair.

My mother went to college at University of Oregon so she always watched the games in her Oregon Duck sweatshirt.

I wrote something to post yesterday, but forgot to push submit! Sigh....

California to Utah, Utah to Nebraska, Nebraska to Illinois. Over 2,000 miles in three days. Tomorrow Youngstown, OH and then New Jersey on Monday. Then I'll be done traveling for a week. Then it'll be the trek home.

Food was pretty spot on today. Road trips are hard for me to stay on point with my eating. Boredom hits... Eating is something to do... Not a good combo. I'm also retaining a lot of fluid right now. Probably all the sitting.

Time to walk the dogs one last time and then head off to bed.

Sleep well.
