Well crap, the 3rd buyer?s offer in our line of houses that need to be sold before we get ours in FL has fallen through. If that house (or ours) doesn?t come under contract with a new buyer by Oct. 20th then we could lose our FL bid. Soooooooo stressful! Our realtor is going to see if our buyer will allow us to take other offers since right now we have more at stake in the game with a long distance move vs. a local move. If they do, we will officially open our house to offers and have open houses etc. But they can deny that since it wasn?t in our contract.
Not sure if we should put our mass selling on hold or not. If we are here for a bit, we will need furniture etc.
Hope you find the perfect bed Liz! I?ve tried unsuccessfully to find the perfect one for me and we have tried sleep number beds and the latest one was a Nectar. CC?s bed sounded really cool. I don?t remember the name of the one she got but it did everything except cook dinner for you! Have fun at the new tiki bar! I could use a tiki bar drink right about now!
DD, yes the weather here has been very nice as well. About a week left before brrrrrr sets in I guess! Sorry your DD is having mental health problems. 3 of our 4 suffer to various degrees so I know all too well the worries of your mama?s heart!
Yes, I thought of this as Diane and Peps were discussing the sandwich! Wrapperless egg roll!
July like weather in the forecast until next week, maybe 90 on Friday!! After that, a few more warm days and then it will drop into the 50s which is more normal weather for this time of year. But if I feel cold, I only need to look towards October 19, when we head to Galveston for a few days.
Last night I made white chicken chili which should feed us tonight also. DH does not mind the same food 2 nights in a row, but after that, he does not want to eat leftovers. If there is any leftover after a 2nd night (BFF is here right now, so probably not) they become my leftovers, and I eat them for lunch.
Well our worry free days about the kids had a hiccup last night. I have been struggling to understand why DD is hesitant to accept the generous apartment deal from the friend in Boston. In June, she started titrating off her SSRI meds, with her doctor's permission. She has probably been off them entirely for about a month. Well, maybe not the best plan after all, as she is having panic attacks, and crying jags. She already made an appointment for next week, but I asked her to contact her psychiatrist and ask if she could get back on her meds right now, due to the intensity of the panic attack. She said she would, and I will check in with her later today. Our DS is at a fancy convention for work in Boston, but he stayed at her house last night, will go to the convention hotel tonight and tomorrow night and stay with her Thursday before he goes back to Madison on Friday. (This was all in the works before she hit the wall) so that makes me feel better that she has family with her. I offered to fly out if she needs me when he leaves. I think she will be better once she is on the meds again. She said she wanted to go off them because she thought with the stress of grad school done, she didn't need medication anymore. That may not be an option for her as she is finding out.
I am on my way to Planet Fitness finally. Since we got back from the epic voyage, I used mornings to run errands and take care of things. I'm caught up now, so it's time to get back into the exercise routine.
The only thing currently on the calendar besides just normal life is theater tickets for Sunday evening. We will see A Doll's House by Ibsen. It's getting great reviews so I am looking forward to it. And Sunday sure hits different when it isn't a school night. : )
Weight holding steady the last few days. So the 3 pound drop seems here to stay. We'll see what happens next in the great eating for health experiment.
117.8. I have been really hungry lately like Paula, but my low dose of tirzepatide seems to curtail getting out of range. I don't ever want to get off of it (also because of the anti-inflammatory benefits).
Not much accomplished yesterday other than hanging around while the water shut-off to our unit was replaced. We will have taken care of all of the upgrades we thought about when we bought this place 2.5 years ago when the marble countertops are refinished in early December (the deposit went in for that yesterday). Lots of money this year but we shouldn't be spending much on that sort of stuff next year. Unless appliances break but they all seem to be in great shape right now. We did the ho****er heater and shut-off in advance of a problem because we are on the third floor and any leak would affect not just us, but the 2 neighbors below us.
We also took a few miscellaneous pieces of furniture to the Habitat Restore yesterday. A pain to get them out of our condo, but such an easy drop-off there. The store is great to wander around in too. Today we need to drop off 3 bags of clothing and shoes to the Humane Society across the street from Habitat. Much easier to donate in Florida than in Massachusetts.
Today we are going north to Orlando to try out mattresses (replacing ours was on that list of upgrades mentioned above). I am pretty sure we have decided on a Saatva mattress but they aren't sold through regular mattress or furniture stores and the nearest showroom is in Orlando. We don't mind going "off campus" though and we are planning to try a new to us Tiki Bar restaurant on the way home for lunch.
Have a tippy Tuesday!

You are efficient! I am still using my bank in Massachusetts and DH and I don't even have a joint account after 3.5 years of marriage.

I used to make this recipe in earlier VSG days (notice that it came from OH) - it was really good so maybe I should resurrect it:

123.7, I think. I've been steadily gaining little by little. Still eating everything in site so I think I will be back on the meds sooner rather than later.
Still crazy busy with selling stuff and doing all the loan stuff, insurance stuff, bank stuff etc. that occurs with a move. As soon as we have confirmation about the last house being under contract, I'll start switching all my automatic deposits and withdrawals from our local bank to the Florida bank we created accounts with while we were there!
My incisions are healing very nicely! I do get swelling during the day when I'm up and about, which is a lot of the day now but by morning after a night's sleep everything looks pretty normal! Took my first bath since the surgery! It was heavenly! I don't have any scabs or open areas anymore so I could finally take a soak!
I agree, it does make the offer not as strong when you have the contingencies!
