Greetings all

It is foggy today and so is my attitude. Minor annoyances from last night's gallery meeting which resulted in a bunch of busy work for me because people read junk on line only don't understand it. I am truly getting to be an old grouch. Oh well. I spent time on the phone today with cal tax board because they don't like my log in info yet their instructions are truly incomprehensible. Crap. More errands to run.

Glad you are home safe Liz. Sorry the car had to be jumped. Been there done that No fun. And yeah Europeans dress differently than Americans. As I recall, we all wear white sports shoes. Seems they are classier. You are always stylish.

Ocean D the Azores!! Sounds fabulous. Bet you can't wait. Yay.

Fun with old friends Paula - nothing better. Glad you had a good time.

Hey Liz so you can't find your scale. Did your dog eat it? hahahah

Shrimp tonight. DH is out walking the dogs. Poppy does not know it yet but she goes to the vet for a shot at 4.

We watched the first episode of the Dexter reboot last night. Very engaging even if totally improbable.

Cheers all.

123.2, back down. Feeling back to my normal self today! Yay!

Glad you got home safely Liz! Bet Justice is glad to have Mom home!

Your trip sounds fun Ocean Diane. I had to look up your destination as I was not familiar with it. Sounds like a place DH and I might like. Will be anxiously awaiting your review!

All the travel talk is giving me the urge as well. But first we have to find a new home in FL!

Met an old work colleague for lunch today. Was very nice to catch up. She has 3 boys about the same ages as my 3. All grown now but fun to hear about their lives!

Weather is supposed to get stormy soon. Wanted to take a walk but too hot and humid for that.

No weight - don't know where the scale is and maybe should wait until after a couple of days of normal eating anyway.

We are home! And Justice is curled up in my lap :)

We got here just before 7:30 pm last night. The estimated 17 hours from door to door ended up being 18.5 hours. The extra time was due to a totally dead battery in DH's 2020 Jeep which apparently had never had the battery changed so it was due. The parking lot people tried to charge/jump it but it wouldn't work. AAA finally came and got it going but refused to put a new battery in because the battery is under the front seat and too difficult for them to get to. Arghhhh... Also, all the electronic displays are not working because of the dead battery so it will need to go to the dealer one way or another. We put it on a trickle charger last night so hopefully it will start up to bring it. BTW, it was 111 in the car and over 90 and super humid outside as all the car stuff was taking place. DH's travel clothing was sopping wet. I stayed in the parking lot office and changed into shorts and flip flops in the ladies room.

Laundry going in shortly, walking on the beach is next in line, and at some point a food store run. The latter will depend on the car fix situation.

More musings about the European trip: Women dress a bit differently than I am used to in Florida and Cape Cod. Here resort wear, bright colors, and flip flops are totally acceptable and encouraged. DD and I fit right in with our clothing. Colors were much more subdued and clothing seemed mostly cotton/linen and flowy. In Poland the predominate color for both men and women was black or other dark, somber colors. In Spain and London the colors were lighter but not bright. The women mostly wore flowy, midi length dresses with sneakers or supportive flat sandals. In Spain they wore Birkenstock-like sandals a lot and in London sneakers more often. A typical look for a woman in the financial area was a dress somewhat fitted at the top, but flowy around the legs paired with a short jacket (probably a Chanel or similar). Just very interesting to me.

Time to throw the laundry in and find something to walk in. Have a winning Wednesday!

I wouldn't worry about that pound - Peps is right. Hopefully it is a quick cold that will go away if you baby it a bit at night then get outside in the day.

You are really under 200 officially now with 2 readings under.

I bet Austria would be quite beautiful with the old buildings.
