I heard that Wisconsin and surrounding states were going to suffer with a "heat dome" this weekend. It is supposed to be sudden summer in the Northeast too but not quite as bad.

Interesting that some compounding pharmacies are still prescribing though HenryMeds has shut it down. But they were targeted in a suit by Lilly.

I haven't been. A waste, I know, but Kirby is scared of it and gets upset when I'm in it. I have tried a few times to coax him in, but right now the flagstone decking is too hot for him to stand on while I try to tempt him to get in. I was talking with my pool guy yesterday who said he has another client with a lab who is the same way. Imposter water dogs!
My go to restaurant has an appetizer with goat cheese and beets, and its my fave. The goat cheese is breaded and fried, and the beets are in a salad. Unfortunately, the name of it is: Goat Cheese Balls. I feel like a middle schooler when I order them. Really delicious though, served with a side of balsamic glaze for dipping.
LOL. We are looking at a bare bones tour that costs around $2500 per person, including airfare. It includes 4 days (or maybe 3) river cruise. DH says we're probably sleeping on deck under mosquito netting. The reviews are good though, so we'll probably take a chance. It cost about $2000 - 3,000 to have a tree taken down here :)
Are you enjoying your pool on these hot days?
Good thoughts for your Dad. He surely does persevere in the face of some big health issues.

My mom's grandfather was from Salzburg. Hope it's wonderful!
I had a call from my dad's wife this morning (it's always going to be something bad because she never calls me, we talk when my dad calls me). He had a partial blockage of his kidney stent and a kidney infection. So he's in the hospital again. Such a bummer because he was doing so well! But being a partial blockage, we're hoping with antibiotics he will bounce back faster than last time. Poor guy.
Hot again today (101 yesterday), but only 9% humidity. So while hot, it could feel worse. Though it probably wouldn't be able to get this hot if it was humid too!
While the driveway lights were fixed, I saw them, they won't come on now. Grr. It's always something!
I should go see if it's something simple... take care everyone!
Greetings all
Sunny and warm on this June day. Juneteenth stuff going on and I am sure there will be a woo woo solstice event. It kind of makes me nervous because days will gradually become shorter until the dreaded dark by 5 pm days. Oh well. I should just enjoy the summer which is just getting ramped up here.
Gallery duty this afternoon again. It will be fine since it is just a half day and I will likely be free from it for awhile. Last time I found a way to do exercise snacks - walking during an entire song on Pandora and doing that every half hour or so as traffic permits. Works for this lazy lady. After a flurry of other stuff this week I can finally get back to the treadmill.
Ann so close to moving in!! Yay. Glad the shower gremlin has been evicted.
DD tree removal!!! I would call a pro but I am sure your DH knows what he is doing. Around here they would leave a 6' stump and then do chain saw art - like a bigfoot or a bear. Good on you for gym recidivism.
Peps Salzburg! The hills are alive..... Looking forward to hearing about the visit.
Paula goat cheese! Love the stuff. Either you love it or hate it. Beets too.
Liz I bet your DH is at a good weight. BMI is just a generalization and not mandatory. Or so I tell myself. Good he has a day off.
Not much else. Time to get ready for my high pressure job of looking out the window and selling gift cards.

124.something. Can't remember exactly.
Meeting with Bible study ladies was good. There were only 4 of us, so we mostly just chatted. My lavender latte was delicious!
Made sliced beets with goat cheese and honey for lunch. Just my kind of fare! I also made DH Orange chicken from Costco. Their sauce is a bit too vinegary for me. Not sure what dinner will be, something simple though!
Plan to take a walk with DH in about an hour. Nice warm sunny day. Summer has indeed arrived (at least for now). The heat index will be over 100 this weekend so not sure how much outside time we will have but friends did invite us over to their condo association's pool. I think it might be a bit crowded though!
Liz, good that DH was able to lose (or at least maintain) on vacation. Peps is right about the BMI numbers. If DH feels good where he is at, no need to get to said number!
Ann, good job on your PT progress. I'm proud to hear that you plan to continue with your exercises. Most people do not! Also good news on the shower and being able to move back in! Would love to see pics of your reno!
DD, glad you are getting summer weather too. And yes, summer solstice in the upper Midwest is a big deal! Those 4:30 sunsets in the winter are killers!
CC, you are still in AZ correct? When do you make your summer trek to MI?
Peps, thanks for sharing your trip adventures with us and the pics on TT too. We can experience a little of it vicariously through you!
