An African photo safari is definitely on my bucket list for future vacations! I say add it to yours! What was the ballpark price quoted?

The internet spying is so intrusive and I find it quite disconcerting! We often get ads based on conversations we have had!

You are such a great daughter! You get the gold prize for your efforts this weekend. Glad everyone survived (home and deer camp).

117.2 - unchanged even after 2 meals out yesterday. DH probably didn't fare so well. He is really fighting the hungry horrors lately. A lot of Ben and Jerry's ice cream has been consumed but not by me.

The safari presentation was very interesting. It is a 2 week trip which several people that we know took last year. Really amazing places that they stay in and beautiful trips to wineries, etc. and actually on safari. The safaris are in areas where hunting is not allowed (DS was upset that we were contemplating it because he is very much against hunting exotic animals just for sport). The animals are just amazing. It probably would be the trip of a lifetime if we did it, but I don't think it is in the cards for 2026. 2027 will be our 5th anniversary so maybe then? Very expensive. DH nearly choked but I expected it to be as much as it was or more. Luxury accommodations all the way and all food and drink included. He wants to try and combine our bucket lists this afternoon LOL. Should I add the safari trip to mine?

Golf was fun but I swear I play worse in these things than with the women in my golf association. Lots more FISH and balls going the wrong direction than usual. Sigh.

This week is busy leading up to the arrival of DH's family on Saturday. We have 2 nights out - a Welcome Back dinner tomorrow at the beach club and a dinner out with friends on Thursday. DH suggested that we see some other friends outside of our community some other night. Then we have stuff at the house including the glass/mirror cleaning on Thursday.

But today will be a Justice walk, water aerobics, bucket lists meeting, and leftovers for dinner. Have a monstrous Monday!

You really gave a priceless gift to both your Mother and Father this weekend. It may have been exhausting both mentally and physically but you should feel good about your Dad's enjoyment of the time bonding and that you got some stuff done in their home (and gave your Mom someone to talk to). My mother was fairly quiet when she was young but definitely got more and more talkative as she aged. As you suggested I think it is because they are home alone so much and don't have much social interaction.

Good news about DC11! My DS has called me daily since he started high school (except when he was upset with me about dating DH). He's been doing that for 20 years now. Just a touch point for 5 minutes or less but he seems to need that.

Congratulations on becoming Florida homeowners today. So exciting that you will be in your new home by tonight!

I don't actually feel like there are more bugs than Massachusetts but just different ones. The tiny little sugar ants can be annoying and geckos sometimes sneak into the house. And very rarely bigger beetle like bugs. On Cape Cod we have ants, spiders and sometimes earwigs which ride in on beach towels hung up to dry outside. But I forgot that there are the no-see-ums that sneak through screens especially on the first floor. But then we have lots of mosquitoes on the Cape (not as many here because they spray for them).

That is creepy that you are getting those ads. I have had that happen based on words I have written (or said) or searches I have conducted but pictures are being analyzed??? Talk about big brother watching!

Wow! Thats a lot of different stuff. Yeah, if it works like mine in a week your skin will be more or less back to normal.

So sorry that your Dad is so ill. I hope they can figure out something to zap that bacteria. He has gone through so much.
