This is a group of us in the Mid-Coast Maine area.  While most of us attend our surgeon's support groups when possible, it is often difficult when they are in towns distances away.  This group hopes to help fill the gap for those times you want to share, need help, or just want to chat with people who know what you're doing.  Those who are in any stage of the journey from being curious about it...

We have two groups. One for the RNY people and one for the Lapbanders. The RNY people meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month and the Lapbanders meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. So we are having a meeting at least once a week here in Ithaca.

We are here for support, encouragement and education. To learn to live a healthy lifestyle. To be positive. Keep in perspective what is important - the improvements in health, the progress, and that success is not measured only by the number on the scale.

Reflections are about us. I thought long and hard in using this as a group name. I feel we need to reflect on our past about our weight problem. I do reflect every day about my problem I had. And now I reflect on my future to see what my reflection will be.
