Back On Track Together
Day 2 of tracking my food...better? worse? help! haha.
So i tracked all my food. i had
LG SF iced coffee
protein shake
stuffed chicken
3/4 of a choclate donut(horrible, i know. i beat myself up over this one)
hamburger patty and a slice of tomato
here's the results
So thats 1100 calories (too much??? i only had 900 yesterday)
66carbs
64 fat
81 protein
questions... what about the fat.. shouldnt that be lower>??/
im sorry i seem so new to this. I havent seen my surgeon, or a surgeon since i was one year post op. My surgeon retired so i just never found another one. My PCP keeps a check on my iron bc he's sent me a hematologist and i also see them pretty regularly...but when it comes to food, im clueless.

Darn donut! Otherwise it looks like a decent day to me. Maybe a chocolate protein shake or protein bar would satisfy the need for sweets without the carbs. I know there are protein ice cream recipes floating around. The fiber seems too low also. Maybe some fruit **** cold watermelon) would be a good choice.
You might want to consider the Health Valley granola bar (on my list of foods yesterday) instead of the doughnut in the future. I'm sure you hadn't had a chance to grocery shop before the doughnut attacked you. Above all, DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a mistake - not a character flaw. Be kind and gentle, firm but kind and gentle with yourself! (It's much more effective than "beatings" ) If "beating ourselves up accomplished anything, none of us would need this site - we've all beaten ourselves up a gazillion million times over the years and yet we needed this tool of bariatric surgery. So, begin a new day and use the splendid tool we've been given to get back on track. Every thing looks great except the wretched doughnut LOL

Hilary,
YAY! on the 3 lbs lost. I would maybe try to add in some fruit and try not to let the donuts attack you in the future. Where I work, they bake fresh Otis *****meyer cookies all day long on Fridays.
They try to jump off the table and attack me everytime I walk by.
Keep on track and focusing on what you're eating and you'll see the pounds start falling off again. But, expect some setbacks along the way. I have to mentally prepare myself for those plateaus our bodies like to put us on.
