Joseph Regan
"I frist met Dr. Regan at a seminar at Columbia hospital, I took my husband along because I had already decided to have the surgery. The seminar was very helpful and Nurse Sue was very informative both on the phone and in person. Dr. Regan has done 100 RNY surgeries, almost all laproscopicly. He brings the 'team' approach to the bariatric center and his patients. He is young, and August 29th marks his one year (rny's)anniversary. I did meet another surgon at another hospital and he does only open, was older, and had done over 1000 surgeries, but I did not feel a personal relationship and the same sence of concern for MY well being as I felt with Dr. Regan and his staff. I have attended 2 support meetings that meet bi-monthly and I am impressed that 30 people show up! That is 1/3 of the patients! Nurse Sue is the best, she is easy to reach and is willing to work with me.(I am quite unique and that is OK with her!) My Date 8-30-04rnrnSeptember 2006: Two years past, down 200 pounds. Tracy McCall
"I met Dr.McCall at a seminar last year, then again at a OH mini conference in Milwaukee in June. I had appointments with two different doctors and choose Dr. McCall. I am scheduled for a lower body lift in July 2006. She came across as a very caring individual and I even got a hug from her at the conference when she saw I was a bit afraid of the upcomming procedure! She is very supportive of bariatric patients and their special needs. August 2006. I had the surgery, they removed 37.5 pounds of skin and fst. This is the largest amount she has ever removed! I had to stay in the hospital an additional 2 days and have 4 blood units replaced, but that was ok by me. I had my 1 week follow up and I am doing "SO WELL"!"

"Admitting room had double sized chairs, the room had new, wide beds that change into a recliner/chair electronically.The shower was open in design with a wide seat inside with a shower hose. The staff was available with a press of the button, always ready day and night to help me walk or to help with toileting needs. Very pleasently surprised that I could sleep, mostly quiet at night."
