Hello All,

Well, I have always been a shapely individual....I've had a butt, I've had big thighs and big hips.  I've struggled with my weight for a very long time.  I remember being 12 yrs old and having the shape of a grown woman.  I've always worked on my weight and shape.  I was in the Army for 9 years - I struggled time and time again with the weight standards that the Army has.  I was always able to pass my physical test, but always struggled to pass the weight test.  I would get measured and nearly always failed.  The Army required that we get our hips measured (NEVER PASSED - I HAVE BIG HIPS), our wrists, necks and our arms (BELOW ELBOWS).  All these measurements were taken and somehow divided....and then they came up with a measurement that equaled our body fat.....Anyway, I got pregnant with my daughter in 2002.  I gained 70 lbs....I got pregnant at 160 lbs (so, I was already overweight to begin with) and I went up to 230lbs.  I lost 20 lbs of those lbs when I came out of hospital.  I managed to get my weight down to 175 lbs, in time to go to Army training in 2004.  By 2006, I was weighing in at 180 lbs.  I got stationed in Korea.  There, I was able to lose weight and go down to 158lbs.  When I came back to the States, I ballooned up to 195lbs in Nov 2007.  I was unable to re-enlist because I was overweight, so I got out of the Army in November, and since then, have gone up as far as to 238 lbs.

I have been trying to get surgery since July 2009.  I've done all the tests necessary, but I am waiting for the phsychological evaluation.  I know that I would qualify for surgery and get approved, as I have sleep apnea.  Only waiting on that one test with they phsycologist.
Once I get the surgery done, I want to lose 100lbs. My goal is to weigh between 130-135lbs, be a size 6.

I wish all of you - luck and success!!!!!!!!!!
