I receive the letter from Dr Lord for the EGD and that make me feel more on track. Thank you to everybody who cares and wonders what was wrong with me being so quiet :) Sorry but it was so unbelievable that it was surreal hahaha. I hope everything goes smooth now PLEASEEEEEE!!!
Now you guys understand why I did not write before?? Hehehe

Ruth just called me to let me know she has the infamous approval for the EGD and she is going to send the others things to TRICARE. Now I have to wait for an app for the EGD. She said it is going to be on the 19th October (My B-day is the 20!!) When I check online again it’s approved but it’s not for the diagnoses that it’s supposed to be. Grrrrr

Thursday was the app with my PD Dr Mason (a sweetheart) and he showed me the letter referral he sent. He wrote it exactly the way the lady in TRICARE said to. (He even put it in capital letters hehehe) He re-sent it and said “let’s see if they understand it this time”.
WRONG they didn’t. They entered it as another consult. Meanwhile I spoke to Ruth (another sweetheart) and she was also frustrated by this. She said she will call me as soon as she has news, good or bad.
Today (Friday) I called TRICARE to ask them again what I needed to do. (I am sure they want me to give up and quit or give them my first born :) She said they need another letter or wait a week to see if the new letter arrive. In that moment my husband called me and I was crying :( He said “I’ll call you back in a moment”.
Somebody from TRICARE called to request permission to give information to my husband about the status of my medical. I said, “Yes”, 3 times (maybe they needed to hear things more then one time to understand) after about 5 minutes my husband (my Love) called me to say everything is straightened out. They sent a FAX with the authorization for 4 visit, an EGD and the surgery. :) I want to be happy but I don’t. I won’t believe it until I have the call from Dr Lord office to confirm the day for both. I’m not really happy because I do not believe it yet…
UPDATE (I knew it)
I went online to check the status of the EGD to feel better and…. “CANCELED”!! I’m not kidding and it’s driving me insane. So, my husband is trying to cheer me up by saying they probably take some time to put it right … I do not think he even believe it. I know it’s going to be a loooooonnnnnnngggg weekend with this bad news again. But I know next one it’s going to be lots of fun.

I was not going to post anything until “something” was fixed, but I think if I explain what is going on with me, maybe somebody who is going through the same situation will not feel alone.
After doing all the test in 2 days, the orientation with Tracy and review with Margaret I thought after a couple of days everything was going to be better….WRONG
I made an appointment with my Doc to verify he sent the letter for treatment not consultation. TRICARE is particular about the words they want in the letters for referral.
I do not know how but I received a letter from TRICARE authorizing me to see another surgeon for another consult!
Ruth at Dr Lords’ office tried to contact my Dr and TRICARE, but no luck. So I called to know the later and she communicate me she was not able to contact my Doc. I called to make an appointment and they told me he is booked for more then a month and they will not give me an appointment. I left a message for him to call me as soon as possible, but nothing. Meantime my husband sees that I’m sad and he makes an appointment for me on the 7th with my Dr. I do not know how he did that. hehehe
I called TRICARE to make sure what they want in the letter.
I know…I know … I am nervous and anxious and want things to go smooth. I am still saying I am not in a hurry, but I want things to go without complications. It is normal to hope for that, right?
I ordered a box of AchievOne Flavors in Hazelnut , everybody says it’s great, we’ll see. :)
Ok Tracy Sipperly called to remind me I need B12 and recommended to buy some in Walgreen, I will do that tomorrow.
Another thing I am looking around is a fitness machine to do exercises at home, I did not like the Curves center I went to and the YMCA is downtown and inconvenient. I am thinking an elliptical cross trainer. Fitness Quest has one I like and will look at tomorrow on to see if I can find one and I like it.
My Angel is doing so good. I just want to be like him, hehehe no…his name is not “Micke”
He gives me a lot of support :) Hola Angel !!! Thank you for being with me in this journey.
Ok I will update as soon as I know something new… hope it’s soon.

Hola everyone
They call me today from Dr Lord office to let me know they need the referral for treatment from my insurance. (Tricare Prime)
They only haved the authorization for evaluation. Pffff time to wait again :) but I am ok. I am not in a hurry. I just want things to go smooth, if you know what I mean.
Monday the 21 I have a app with my Doc. Let see what happens.
I wish they put a live camera in the party en Fort Lauderdale the 18th &19th
Come on guys ! do it for the one’s we can’t make it !! :) hehehe

Great day today.
I went to the app's with the psychologist and the nutritionist.
Everything went really good. I love them !!! It is a great feeling having people like them helping you in one of the more important event of your life.
Now it is waiting time… tic toc tic toc

What a day!!
First I went to have my EKG and I did not know it would take more time putting the stickers and the cables on then the real thing :)
After that I went to do the Labs. Lots of blood out of me and no cookies, or stickers?? After that?? Booo, hooo,… :(
Later I went to the app with Tracy the dietician. She is the best, so animated and hyper :)
My husband stayed with me to make sure I understood everything. I learned a lot, the time flew (2 hours).
Right after that I went to do the chest x-ray. That was really fast too.
Later I was ready to eat something and take it easy. (Fasting for 17 hours I think that was enough :) )
The 17th a have next 2 app’s and later I have to wait for the EGD ( brrrrr)
I am happy and really excited about the “change”. It is not going to be easy, but my quality of live is going to increase 200%
The next suport meeting is going to be on 9-6-06 and I can’t wait to meet some of the Pensacola and vicinity people.
I will write more Thursday about the consultations :)
