So Im in the hospital with this drain on my side. That the nurse come in and drain for me. I can drink water but not eat. I had to wait 36 hours for food. I had to drink the clear liquid for the upper GI to make sure no leaks. Than Food glorious food. The best cream of chicken soup, low fat yougert. lemonade and apple juice ever. I was soft diet for 5 days then regular food. My hospital stay wasn't so bad. I wish I had my tablet. The nurses were nice and kind. I told them see you in 7 weeks when I left. I hope to have the same team. Erioson in the liver is never good.

Band no more. I’m free and this my friend is dangerous!

Jun 24, 2019

So June 6th starts out at 430am. Showered with the anseptic soap. Which you use the night before as well. Put on your fresh clean just washed clothes, brush your teeth and hair but no Deodorant and perfume. That was hard for me. So into the car. Arrive at the hospital at 515AM told to be there at 530AM. 15 minutes to spare. Wait after checking in a nurse training another stops by to say Hi and ask for my info then after confirming says your surgery is Out Patient. She asks who’s taking me home I said my husband and introduced them. So she said we’re taking her back and will come get you once we get her set. So I change, Get IV with Antibiotics and then my hubby comes in. We talk and then the team rolls in and introduce themselves. My team and Dr. Weinchick was Amazing anyway I kiss my hubby and gets rolled away. They give me something to relax me I notice the night and day feel from Lapband to Removal Surgery. This time the room is not freezing but comfortable. The walls have color yellow and blue. I can see the light and where the tools are or will go. They say they’re going to give me oxygen and I said are you putting me to sleep now? Nope just oxygen now sweetie. Then they see this needle it’s going in and you will go to sleep. They say good night I get out good before I’m out. I wake up on my own no shaking of the feet just come out in your own. I see the nurse and she says welcome back. We’re admitting you. I’ll blog the rest tomorrow.

LapBand to VSG

May 29, 2019

I had my surgery with the Lapband in 2007 and I weighed 303 I got to down to 188lbs still over weight but Hey I was happy and wanted to reach my goal of 160 (Never happend). Slowly the feeling of being punched in the stomach and back went a way. My small plate was no longer filling me up. I've had a lot of fills till I'm max tight. Fast forward a couple of years and it's 2019 I'm at a 270lbs and back in size 22 still not my 28 but heading in the wrong direction. I'm having my Lapband removed on June 6th and the VSG on July 25th. My insurance is removing my band Thank God but I'm a SELF PAY for the sleeve and it's 15K Total!!! When you have to clean your saving and take a loan you know it's serious. This is my first Bog and I will post before and after pictures from the band and Day before Band removal till day before Sleeve and monthy updates post sleeve with pictures. Join this Journey as we all sing "Don't Stop Believing." lame I know :)
