Hi Native Girl - Congrats on you're getting a date. I am ll days post-op and also had my surgery done at St. John's Riverview by Dr. Wood. Everything went great and I'll pray you have the same successes with surgery that I did.

I am wishing you a successful, complication-free surgery and a quick, smooth recovery. I had my Open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and can honestly say I have NO regrets other than not having had wls several years ago. This is, without a doubt, the best thing I've done for myself. IM SOOOO PROUD OF YOU! :O) THE FIRST WEEK SUCKS REALLY BAD BUT YOU CAN DO IT! TIP: BUY LOTS OF GUM AND I EVEN HAD TO GET FAKE NAILS B/C I CHEWED MINE ALL OFF. AVOID PLACES THAT YOU WOULD NORMALLY SMOKE IT HELPS A LITTLE. I DID FOR ABOUT THE 1ST WEEK. THEN ALL WAS GOOD. KEEP ME UPDATED. YOU GO GIRL! MINDI
