HI ALL!!! I got home from the hospital yesterday!!! I feel really great! I'm a little tired because I've done a lot already today, so I'm going to keep it short this time. It wasn't anything like I thought it would be... I almost walked out of the surgery because I was so scared, but the nurses talked to me and I realized how much I would hate myself if I didn't do it. When I woke up, NO NAUSEA!!! I didn't open my eyes until I got into ICU- all I remember saying was I hurt and they gave me some pain medicine. The nasal tube didn't bother me a bit. In fact, I think it may have been helping me to keep from being nauseated, so I appreciated it a lot and I couldn't feel it since it was already in there. As soon as it came out, I walked and I felt great. I can not thank the doctors and nurses there more... Anyway, I felt really good until Thursday or Friday night. I know this sounds awful, but I don't remember a lot of last week. I got some gas in the other part of my stomach and the doctor corked me... It was funny. Instant relief! I really didn't have any pain except for the gas which was really unbelievable to me after all the worrying I had done! I just can't describe the way I feel about going through with the surgery. My husband says I have to eat now so I have to go, I'll finish by saying if you haven't had the surgery and are afraid, you could NOT have been more worried or afraid than me, (you can ask my nurses, they said I read too much and did too much of the wrong kind of research), anyway, I'm very glad that I did this..., as of this morning, one night home, I weigh already something that I haven't weighed in over TWO years and that's 285.5... It was so unbelievable to me that I had to weigh myself about eight times and my husband said he would check and make certain it was right for me. He weighed himself, but that still isn't enough. It's like I'm dreaming... I have to go eat now. THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO HAS HELPED ME and if anyone ever has any questions, please send me an email and I will do whatever I can for you!!!
