Hi Deb, I read your profile.I cannot believe that a doctor who is dedicated to SAVING lives could write such a letter. She must be completely ignorant of wls. How self righteous she sounds. As to the insurance we pay these premiums to keep us healthy. If anyone abuses the system it is some of the doctors that charge outrageous for visits or keep you coming back when they could help with one visit. Get a new doctor that has some compassion for an unhealthy person which is what you are if you are obese. Good luck and hope you get some good news soon. My doctor is so helpful and even asked me where I went so she could tell another that needed surgery. God Bless.

Hi Debra~~~Thank you for posting to my surgery page. I used to read about members of the century club as a pre op too and dream that someday it would be me!!! Now I can claim membership in just 5 months!!!!!!!!!! Soon you will be right where I am.....shrinking by the day!!!! WLS is the best gift you could ever give yourself. Debra, We are neighbors and WLS sisters, too. I live near Garner. I am having surgery 2/24/2003 at Rex with Dr. Enochs (Triangle Surgical). I wish you good luck with all of your pre-op tests and hope you get a date soon. This is an exciting and emotional time for us. We need all of the support we can get. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I undergo surgery and during my recovery. I will likewise for you. Health and Happiness!
