I can't believe that Carolyn just had he surgery on the 31st (May) and is already nice enough to communicate with someone waiting for approval. I am thrilled that she is doing so well and is certainly an inspiration. Great attitude, Carolyn, keep it up! I just read your entire profile and am impressed - mostly with the strength you seem to to have. I will now look at my future surgery with more optisim and ride the roller-coaster with faith. Thanks! Carolyne H.

Evening AMOS Family, Hard to believe surgery is behind me instead of before. Everything has gone very well for me. I have to say, I started this out with a positive plan, negative thinkin' was left on the "down side" of the "other side". I'll not be discouraged.
Thank you Gail for being my Perfect Angel. We have a very good understanding of one another me thinks, and I look forward to welcoming you home just 6 days away on June 8th!
I got home about 4pm yesterday. Left the hospital just 28 hours after I got there and 26 hours after surgery. Talk about a fast transformation! Since I'm 55, I guess that was a special request answered. After all the years of emotional pain, this has been a no-sweat deal! The best I can say, is go in with the idea of how strong you are, how able you are to do the things necessary to go home, the walking, breathing, coughing, drinking your liquids etc. I walked 2 laps first time and 3-4 thereafter. Had a very busy day today, and am getting tired now, just noticed the body aches settling in...those under the right breast and across the back, tum is sore but not horribly so. Took my shower mid-morning, that was great...and have walked twice on my treadmill today, 10 min and 12 min. So, as I said, this old gal is doin' just fine. All in all this has been a fantastic start on the journey to wholeness for the rest of my life. Take comfort and keep the faith those of you coming up. Blessings, Carolyn B
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RnY_5-24_6-8-01

Angel Reporting: I just got a call from Carolyn, she sounds wonderful. She has been up and walking since late last night, and had jello and some liquids. She said she stopped using the pain pump and started on Vicodin pill. Dr. Boone said he would check on her at noon today, and if she is still doing as good as she is, he'll let her go home today. She said her surgery lasted about 1 hour, and was in recovery for 2-3 hours then moved to her room, she said she doesn't remember much of anything till after 8 last night. She's had no nausea and very little pain. Praise God...

Hi, Angel reporting in: I just got off the phone with Carolyns Husband, he said everything went wonderful. Doctor said she did fine and everything went as planned. Carolyns husband said she is in her room but still very much out of it, only waking for 30 seconds or so at a time. He hopes she'll get to come home tomorrow. Congratulations Carolyn, you made it to the other side.

Hi, I'm Carolyns Angel and I just spoke with her, she is scheduled for surgery at 12:45 today (5/31/01) at Saint Anges in Fresno. She was up early talking to her son and is ready just in case they call her early. She said she's not nervous, just "ready" to have the procedure. Please take a minute to say a prayer for her and wish her a speedy recovery. I'll report more when I hear from her husband.

Carolyn, I know that God is with us and if he is with us then who would be against us. I know that our dates will go just fine. Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement and I will pray for you at the same time you are praying for me. I look forward to hearing from you on the other side. Peace and Blessings
