Joanie, Thank you for your wishes and I'm glad you liked my count down.. I researched this procedure for 2 well going on 3 years now.. I decided at the end of April to go for it.. I was approved on May 1,2002 and am having surgery tomorrow. wow those 2 months flew by. I tried different things from jazzercise to nutrition class, walking around football fields,pills almost everything but this.. I needed something major to become healthier. This surgery isn't for everyone. Everyone is different mine really is a health thing. Trust in God and go with whatever your heart tells you. If you have too many doubts don't do it, but if you feel confident then do it.. Good luck on which ever path you chose. I'll remember you in my prayers.. God Bless

Joanie, Although I have also not had surgery(am scheduled for 7/29), I have done a ton of research, and saw my dr. last week for the first time. He also said that the surgery is for most people complication free. Something to consider when your thinking things over. What kind of complications will you develop or have developed with your MO? Some of these complications are a definate, not a possibility as long as you stay MO. I thought about that aspect of it, and really feel that if I am going to have complications, I would much rather get them as a result of getting healthy with this surgery than as a MO person. Good luck in your quest. I hope you find a peace of mind in what ever your decision is.
