Hello Mary, I fully understand what you are going through in the food department..lol...I was about 2 weeks post-op at Thanksgiving (what you will be at Christmas). Will you be allowed to be on a soft diet by then? At our dinner I had mashed potatoes with gravy, a very small amount of turkey with gravy and a very small amount of cornbread dressing with gravy!! It was awesome! As long as I had gravy over everything to make it that very soft stage, I did just fine! Anyway, just thought I would pass on some ideas. Always follow Dr.'s orders, but if he gives you the "ok" for a soft diet, you can have a very good meal! Hope your holidays are awesome...and let "everyone" there take care of you! Let them entertain each other and do all the cleaning up! You "deserve" the rest! Be pampered! Love and Light,

Mary is home and recovering! Yippee! We all thank you for your prayers and loving thoughts during her surgery. This is an amazing time in Mary's life and she will be back on line soon to love and support you all in the same way you've supported her. Thanks again to all. Jennie

Hello again. I just spoke with Mary. She got her bandages off yesterday and got a shower so she feels some better. I think it has been a little rougher than she/we expected, but all is well. She is positive and secure in the fact that this truly is the beginning of her new life and any pain will be worth the ultimate goal; a healthy, balanced, lean body! I am excited and happy for her as I know all of you are. Hopefully, she will be out of the hospital tomorrow and back home with her puppies...they are the apple of her eye and missing her desperately I know. With Love and Thanks, Jennie

WOOOOO HOOOOOOO Mary!! Way to go! I have checked on just about every member of the December 11th club and all seem to be doing well. A couple do not have angels and thus do not have updates yet, but I'm sure they're all fine. I'm so glad that you're doing okay. Now if we can just get that straggler in the group taken care of! (me) By the way, I had my pre-op tests today and they all were fine, so I'm still on for the 18th. Take care, and God bless!

Hello all, Mary came through her surgery just fine. She was moved to ICU (from recovery)last night around 9pm and is stable. Her sweet husband and I spoke this morning and he was just on his way to see her. I am hoping to see her myself on Saturday, once she is in her own room. I know this site has meant a lot to Mary. Being her friend, but not having this same personal experience, I am grateful she knows how to find people who can share with her specifically. Mary is one of those women you just love. She has a heart as big as Texas and never fails to let those in her life know how much she loves them. You, on this site, are included in that love from Mary and I know that she can feel the energy right now that I am sending out to you on her behalf. God's will is being done in Mary's life and it is an honor and gift to be a part of that process. With Love and Thanks, Jennie

Happy Days, Mary is crossing over tomorrow! Tomorrow is the beginning you have been waiting on. You have one of the best surgeons around, so give your fears to God and let Dr. B do the rest. He did my surgery Jan 30th and I have lost 198lbs so far. You will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow, if I can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to ask.
