Chris -
I had my surgery on 3/31. I too cannot eat meats. I think because they are too dry. I eat a lot of dried bean dishes, cheese, and crackers. I drink a lot of hot tea w/o caffeine, crystal light, and sugar free tang. I also drink Rocamojo, which is a coffee-substitute made of roasted soybeans. I mix it 1/2 with regular coffee. One cup of Rocamojo is 12 grams of protein. I can eat chili w/ meat because it is ground up so fine. Good luck. I know it is a struggle to get in all the protein especially when you can't eat meat. Don't push the meat though, there are a lot of other things like the dried beans.
