I just got back from my 6 month checkup and I am down 100 pounds!! I can not believe it !! My doctor thinks I am doing wonderfully. SOMEONE PINCH ME, I MUST BE DREAMING !!!

Thanks for the advice. I do not want to get back into the position that I am in now and from what I understand people do eat too much, expand the pouch and pretty much negate the surgery. I do not want to go through all of this only to have to look at other option 10 years from now! Thanks for the words of wisdom and congratulations on your success!

I vote for AMOS....you can call it "Amy" if it's a girl! :)

Sharon, Do you have a specific breed in mind for your puppy? I'd get one that'll grow to be about 100 lbs as an adult!! Maybe a lab or a golden. Then, regardless of what you name it, you can always be reminded of your accomplishment every time you try to lift him/her or when he/she jumps up on you!! BTW Amos would be cute for a boy dog. Or how about SLIM?

<font=comic sans> <color=brown> SHARON!!!
Of course your puppy's new name should be AMOS!!!
^_^

Best wishes and getting that puppy soon!! I think you should name it after your favorite food that you can't have anymore, so that way you can always have it. Like "Sundae", "Chip", "Candy", or "Super Fudge Chocolate Chunk". OK, the last one is far fetch, I guess my cravings are coming out!!
