Hi, Judith. Dr. Philippe Quilici has been my surgeon as well. Had my RNY on 6/29/'01--highest weight was 487. Right now, I'm in the appeals process of insurance hell, seeking a revision. God's very best to you; others of us are out here as well! = }

Hi Judith, I read your post aznd wanted to respond. I too am 5"10 and I started out at 430 pounds the day of surgery. I think we may have a few things in common. You are welcome to go to my web page and anything I can do to help, just let me know. I am out 3 months now and I now weigh 353. A loss of 78 pounds and I had open RNY, transected. Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. We both wish you all the luck in the world with your recovery too. We BOTH had open rny's in 2001. Mine (Doug, aka: OLD RODEO CLOWN PANTS) was in Oct and I have lost 215 lbs. My sweet wife, Nancy, had her surgery in June and she has lost 110 lbs.
