Angel putting on her wings again for Mary. As you know her surgery that was scheduled for last week was postponed until this week. So let's all keep our fingers crossed and say a prayer that her surgery takes place tomorrow as planned. I talked to Mary last night and she sounded better than I have ever heard her !! Way to go Mary. Just remember that you are one of us and we will all be pulling for you tomorrow. Please drop Mary an email........I know she would love to hear from you.

Hello Mary! Please do not listen to people's "horror" stories. You will be asleep during the operation. Just be positive and keep focused on after the operation and your recovery. I had WLS 4/19/00 and have lost 105 pounds. The first week was rough but every day it WILL get better and better! BE BRAVE! It will be worth it.

Mary: I am two weeks pre-op and I sometimes get so scared ruminating about all the "what ifs". Take some really big deep breaths and picture yourself in the most wonderful place and let yourself really explore this place. Your wls experience will be much easier if you can relax. I know that you are going to do great! LOL Susan

Mary, I had my surgery a week ago today (monday). I feel great. The pain meds are great!I am on liquid vicoden and It is the best!About the helplessness,I felt the same way,but you know what it isn't going to hurt the family to do some loads of laundry or cook a meal or vacume the floor. Enjoy you well deserved break.I am ,because once you start they expect you to do it all the time hahaha!God will bless you and keep you safe!

Hi Mary! Oh, you've come such a long way in your approval/pre-op. Try to put yourself in God's hands. He knows what he has planned for you, even if you don't. And the thing about the intestines...you'll be asleep, Hon. Whatever they do, you won't see it, hear or feel it. Good luck to you!
