Hey Carmen, My name is Krissy, and I also had Dr. McCarty. I used to be very active on the website, but now I hardly get on. I just wanted to let you know that I read your whole journey and I'm both impressed and inspired to do as well as you. I bet your diabetes are doing a lot better. Thank you for your post on type II diabetis. I just found out yesterday that I too have this awful disease. I am very scaired. My surgery isnt until Dec 17th and since my father is diebetic also he was telling me on the phone last neight that a person is harder to heal when you are diebetic. I am really scaired now since my operation will be open RNY...what if I don' t heal?My PCP didnt even give me a list of foods to avoid. He sent me home with a machine and said to come back in two weeks for med's. Can you help?
