Hi everyone it is me. Two years out today sorry I have not posted life is busier than ever. I am doing well I actually hit below my goal of 150 at one time but it made me ill the doctor says she does not want me under 155 and this morning I was 153 so staying close. Finally about 9 months ago we got a local support group which is great. I am one of those people today I can eat anything and bigger quantities than I feel I should so I just have to watch what I do. People who have known me my whole life don't know me when they see me it is a great feeling. I chickened out and never had any plastics even after approval but hay I look so much better and feel it I just don't want more surgery. I hope everyone is doing well. And thanks for the letters on my 2 year anniversary. Love Alicia

Hi Alicia, So glad to hear that you are doing well. I'm no longer on the WLS of SE MI. I've taken a break because we have boughten a new house and things are really hairy right now. Don't have time to read all the emails. Will get back to it in May after we move and get settled. Miss hearing your updates. I've been doing pretty well. Had my surgery on March 7 and have lost 40 pounds. People are really starting to notice, so am I. Clothes just don't fit the same :-). We had a garage sale before our move. I sold almost all my winter clothes, they sure won't fit me next winter. The only thing I've found that doesn't agree with me is cauliflower. When I was cooking it it didn't smell good. That's a clue!! Hoping you have a great spring! Keep me posted! Dawn

Alicia, Most definitely if you are concerned call your dr. It is best to leave the important medical decisions to him/her. Congrats in since you are now post op. Take Care, Tamara

I am home. What a night first I will tell you all I am still not out of the woods. I have a partial collapsed left lung. Due to my distance from home and how upset I was getting my heartrate went so high I almost had a heartattack so at 10:30 last night they released me and said I had to follow up with my pcp on Monday for more chest x-ray and it would probably take up to a month to heal to be very careful at what I done. This was after a scare that I had a bloodclot on my lungs. Surgery itsself went great I was told by Dr.Bell who was leaving town I would go home on Friday then Friday they found all this other stuff. I was one of the lucky ones who did not feel the pain was all that great my bed was more uncomfortable than the pain I was in. I will take better time later to Thank all the wonderfull people who called, came by and even brought me things to make me feel better. I know I would have been a case of nervous if it hadn't been for so many wonderful people reaching out a hand of support. I LUV you guys! Ok it isn't the easier sitting here and I have only had about 3 hours sleep I want to see my kids it was 2 am before we got home so still haven't seen them I will post more to my surgery page latter when I feel more up to. Home at last. Alicia

I spoke to Alicia yesterday, she is moved to a reg. room and doing great! When I first met her she thought she was going to be 5 hours away from home for her Wls and all alone since her husband had to return home to work! Well, because of the support of her Angels, Vicki and Yvonne And her obesityhelp.com friends Alicia has had visiters and support! Alicia said the Dr. would not give her a binder! He said he does not believe in them! They cause phemoina? That surprized me! My friends who have had WLS have told me to ask for 2 of them! They are their best friends! Anyone else heard binders cause pneumonia? Guess he is the Dr. who knows best! Please wish Alicia a fast recovery!

<IMG SRC="http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/mempix/linke_vickie/BlueWings.gif"> I just got back from visiting with Alicia, she's doing great! Her color is good, her incisions looks good. She's not even hardly using her pain button. Once the entire time I was there (2.5 hours) When I got there at around 1:15 pm, they still had her in ICU, no beds were available elsewhere yet, so I lied to get in, I'm her sister Vickie now and met my other sister Yvonne there also :) Funny thing tho' the family resemblence is only around our middle area's... LoL She's in a regular room now #257 bed 1, # at the Hospital is 734-241-1700 *fluttering off* ~~prayers~~
