Hi Karen, I want to start by thanking you for your words of encouragement on my upcoming surgery. Next Friday, alright. I can't believe it is here so quick. My goodness, I took 4 months to ever see the doc for the first time and now since I got my date it has flown by. It is a blessing to know that you are doing really great. I am always glad to hear the wonderful stories from patients of weight loss surgery. It is so wonderful that you are off all that medicine and your body can act and function normally again. I wish you the best on your new healthier life. Continue the great work and I hope to talk to you again. Take care.

Thank you Karen, for your post to me. Thank you for the encouragement. I am not scared of the surgery but I do get a little negative sometimes in that I wonder if I really will be able to discipline myself and get healthy. I hurt so much that I am afraid I won't feel better. I have waited so long for this; just as you and all the other AMOS family. Congratulations to you in your weight loss and from your posts, sounds that you are very dedicated. God Bless you, Judy.

Hi Karen, Congradulations on the 100lb weight loss!!Your are doing great!!I have lost 70lbs since 7/15/02. Started out at 302lbs. Not too shabby I guess. I've been bad this past week eating cookies, etc. Happy Holidays to you!!terri k
