Lori...don't let the inconsiderate acts of others bring you down at this time when you are making such a positive move toward a better life for yourself. Anyway...I had my surgery 10/27 and had an 8 person entourage with me the entire time. My husband, my daughter, my parents, my sister, my friend, my inlaws...I wasn't even left alone over night...plus, the phone rang every 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. I didn't get a moment's peace and, even though I know they meant well, I wished they would all get the hell out and leave me alone! So, you just concentrate on getting through this and getting better. You're doing this for you...so you can have a healthier and happier life. God bless you and I will pray for your surgery to be uneventful and your recovery swift. Take care.

Lori, I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this alone. This is a life-changing experience and you deserve the support of your family and friends. But, rest assured that you are making the right choice and are on the way to a happier and healthier life! I wished I lived closer so that I could help you out, but feel free to e-mail me any time for support!

Lori...girlfriend, you are ALMOST there...on your way to a healthier, more active life! My surgery is December 10th, and I surely understand your situation (my fiance will be with me but my parents won't "drive" in Boston, MA...WHATEVER!) so I'm essentially going to be "alone" during my stay. My fiance will visit at night, and possibly a friend or two...but...we're in the same boat, baby! LOL I just keep focusing on the positives and, of course, have left it in the Lord's hands...He will carry us through! Good luck...blessings to you!
