Katie- we are all scared in one way or another. Some of us are afraid of the anesthesia- part of us are afraid to go to sleep, part of us are afraid to wake up, due to the pain. Thousands of us have gone before you and have done fine. Keep your chin up and think about how much you and your family will benefit from your being at a healthy weight. You have a lot to look forward to as a weight "LOSER".

Katie, I am in the very beginning of the process, and when I read your post about being a mother and wife - being scared something is going to happen to you - well, you really touched me. I am having the exact same feelings and I haven't even had my first consult! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Think positive thoughts only and think of all the fun you're going to have reaching your new weight! Good luck and God bless.

Katie, What you are experiencing is very very normal. You will do fine. The Lord will guide your surgeons skilled hands and bring you through the other side safely. Keep us all posted and update your profile as often as you can. You will be surprised just how much life is better. God Bless, Annette Taylor

Katie--you are going to be just fine! You are taking a huge step towards better health and energy to enjoy those children. You will be so thankful to have done this while they are young and you are going to enjoy so much more with them as a strong, healthy mom. Blessings to you in your surgery and Godspeed for a quick return to strength and health! Lori in TN

Katie, hello from NYC, I am born and raised in West Chester, PA...Look, I know you are scared, I sure was. But, I look at it this way, do you trust your dtr? Do you know the statistics (1 in 200, thats less the .5%), what do you believe? I spent months convinced I was gonna die on the table that I gave no thought to the post-op experience! I am not overly religious, but, if your surgery day is u're time to die, then you will. I believe, when its your time its your time. Wheter you are having surgery, wwlking across the street, etc...You will be fine. ALl my belessings! heather (open rny 8/15 - 305/214/150)
