Massachusetts General Hospital

"If I am ever hositalized again I will be sure to ask for a private room. I was in the hospital 5 days. I had 4 different roommates all with very loud (at all hours) visitors. One of my roommates was allowed to have family sleep overnight. They should of put them in a private room. I was completely ignored by the nursing staff during my stay. Whenever I buzzed, the response was a very long wait, and when they came, they seemed annoyed they had to come. The first day I received my pain pill, which was a large pill, I asked the nurse to crush it because I could not take pills at this time. She would not. I asked repeatedly, but she would not. I had to CHEW IT. I would definitely have surgery at MGH again, but I will not look forward to my stay. And as I said above, I will definitely pay the extra money for a private room."

Charles M. Ferguson

"Dr. Ferguson (MGH Weight Center)is wonderful. Intelligent, highly skilled at his profession. He is easy to talk and explains everything in detail. Answers all questions with patience. The office staff is great. That was one of the big reasons I felt so comfortable going there. The office is very organized and you never feel like you have to keep on top of everything for fear its not being done! "
