I am in my last 12 hrs from my surgery. I'm starting to get a little scared, but I know I will be fine. I will be getting up at 330am to go to the hospital and I know that will come very quick. I will talk to everyone soon!! Thanks for all of your prayers and support. I really appreciate it. :-)

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I have a tentative date now - - 11/15/00. Have a safe and smooth trip to the "other side". I'll join you there in a couple of weeks!!

Hi Michelle! I will lift you up to the Lord as you go through surgery. I've been reading your comments tonight as I just got approved for surgery with Dr. Pearce. I know it's really scary, but probably like you I have a calm about it all. What a wonderful day it will be when we have energy to enjoy activities with our families and friends and not be embarrassed by our appearance. Our lives are so valuable to us and our loved ones, so we have every right to take the iniative to better our health. God Bless YOU!--Jami Sue

I am in the last 48 hours and doing better than I thought I would. I still have some fear, but I know the lord will keep me safe. I just want to thank everyone who has kept in close contact with me over the last several months on this site. I couldn't have made it this far without you guys!! See ya on the other side very soon!!

Hang in there kid - the waiting and worrying will be over soon. I wish they had perfected this surgery when I was younger and weighed less myself. Some people will just never understand. By having the surgery now, you can look forward to many additional years of good health!!

Michele, I am having my surgery on the 10/26/00. I too am scared to death and ,I unlike you I don't have butterflies, I have vultures tap dancing in the pit of my stomach!! HA!HA! I have all of my family and friends supporting me, because without them , especially my Mother, I could not do it!! My GOD and my Mother have been the corner stone in my foundation of faith. I am 38 so I have lived just a LITTLE, but don't tell anyone! :-) I am praying for you and my friend Lil from Lou., and all of our other WLS brothers and sisters. MY GOD ALMIGHTY WATCH AND GUIDE YOUR DOCTORS HANDS THROUGH YOUR SURGERY AND EVERYONE ELSES!!! Mary

Michelle - - I am so excited for you! Believe me, I will be thinking of you often as you approach your surgery date. I am having my 1st consultation with Dr. Pearce tomorrow and I can hardly wait for that. I don't know how I will make it until I get my surgery date. I send you my very best warm, healing, happy, skinny thoughts and wishes for a speedy and painless recovery!
