Deanne - Well I made it home minus a spleen. Thank you for your support and I hope your surgery went as well. I'm exhausted but I will talk to you again.

Another update on Deanne -- She's doing great! She had some difficulties during her first two days, like everyone does, including problems with her IV, etc., but since her NG tube came out yesterday morning, she's a new woman! She even was planning on taking a shower this morning! I'm so proud of her and respect her courage in facing the challenge of surgery and recovery.

Deanne had a very successful surgery this morning. She had her RNY and gallbladder removal. Her surgery was about 2 1/2 hours, and she then spent 1 hr. 10 minutes in recovery. She's groggy, but hasn't been able to actually sleep and has some burning and pain, but she's doing great! I know all of those prayers and good wishes helped! I left her this afternoon in the capable care of her hubby (and her morphine). Considering the major surgery she just had, I think she looked great! Just spoke with her by telephone, and apparently a nurse irrigated her pouch through her NG tube, which caused her to vomit a bit. She felt a bit more uncomfortable than earlier in the afternoon, but I think she's in reasonably good spirits. This is Angel Lorri, over and out.
