Deanne had a very successful surgery this morning. She had her RNY and gallbladder removal. Her surgery was about 2 1/2 hours, and she then spent 1 hr. 10 minutes in recovery. She's groggy, but hasn't been able to actually sleep and has some burning and pain, but she's doing great! I know all of those prayers and good wishes helped!
I left her this afternoon in the capable care of her hubby (and her morphine). Considering the major surgery she just had, I think she looked great!
Just spoke with her by telephone, and apparently a nurse irrigated her pouch through her NG tube, which caused her to vomit a bit. She felt a bit more uncomfortable than earlier in the afternoon, but I think she's in reasonably good spirits.
This is Angel Lorri, over and out.
