Unofficial Angel here!!! I tracked John down and was able to talk to him. He had surgery yesterday and says other then a little pain when getting up or down, he is doing really well and has been up walking the halls. Way to go John!!! Welcome to the other side!!!

John, I just want to wish you the very best and to let you know I am just down the road if you should have any questions or there is anyway at all I can help you with this new wonderful journey. I am 2 months post op and I truly feel as though this is the very best gift I could ever give myself. I have seen your postings on the message board - keep up the communication. John, Support groups really help so even if you aren't a "joiner", join one anyway! On a positive note, remember men lose weight alot faster than women because of your inherant muscle mass and muscle burns fat faster......in other words, the weight will melt away. You're almost on the other side. I'm sending positive thoughts and prayers for you and your surgeon.....and angels to hold your hand. This is the best gift you will ever give to yourself and your family!! I'm very proud of you for being so courageous and making this life changing move! Good luck on your surgery tomorrow John .My prayers for a safe trip to the loseing side, and if we get snow tomorrow here in Mass.I;ll send it your way we have had a lots of snow this winter so far, and we all are more then ready for spring. Denise H.

Hi John. Soon to be on the losing side. And I'm hoping to join you there soon in the near future. So keep up with the posts. They do help out alot of people. You never know who reads these. But they do help. Even if its stuff that is negative, you can reflect and see your transformation as the year passes. So I'll be watching for those updates. Congrats!
