04/10/03 - Postop 7 days! I had surgery 04/03/03 at St. Mary's. Lap RNY. I am doing well. I returned home on 04/07/03 - I live 4 hours from Richmond. The trip was ok. My husband pulled over every hour so I could walk, drink, and potty. I sipped on water riding down the rode. I even hada lemon-lime cystral lite slurpee from 7-11 in Waynesboro! - That was a nice treat. We arrived home at approximately 9:30 p.m. It was good to be home. I had a lot of anxiety and started reintroducing my pre-op medications, which helped my anxieties alot. Weighed today: Weight 290 lbs down 15.5 since 03/20/03 pre-admit physical! My follow up with Dr. Martin is 04/21/03 @ 1 p.m. in Richmond. I am experimenting with my carnation instant breakfast (CIB) shakes, juices, health request chicken noodle soups. 03/28/03 - It is wonderful to stop by my site and see the support pouring in. Thank you each and every one. As everyone knows these last few days are the most anxious. But, it has been a good time for me to say things to my daughters, husband, parents, and sister regarding how much I care for them and I am thankful they are in my life. I just got back from Richmond 03/25/03 I went through a week of Behavior modification classes, dietary classes, and informational classes given by the nurses of St. Marys Hospital. I was pre-registered, had my chest xray, labs, ABGs, and EKGs. I saw my doctor on Monday and I am ready to count down to the losing side.
