Happy Surgiversary month Nynese!

Nynese W. 20 years, 10 months ago

Well, well, well yesterday (7/14) I went back to plastics. I told one of the male nurses there I wasn't leaving until I got something supportive. He happened to be one of my nurses each time with my GYN surgery and the RNY. Anyway, the plastic's surgeon said I hate to give you bad news...I held my breath...he said I can't give you a date before the first week in September. In case you missed it HE SAID THE FIRST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER. OH the joy I have now. This will be he best summer yet just waiting for September. So I have a few months to get BP under control and a few other things. THE FIRST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER for pannus removal!!!!! Neci

Today I am 2 years out. Two and a half years ago I would have NEVER thought I would be where I am now. I couldn't walk a block without getting winded. Today I walked over two miles, and I walk constantly at work. I couldn't tie my shoes. So many things I couldn't do. I was a total disaster. I remember someone teasing me and asking if I was trying to be the Black version of the Goodyear Blimp. How crushing. And that was a my ex-physician for more than 10 years. That is all behind me now. I thank God and Dr Gorecki for giving me a new lease on life. If I never lose another pound I'm so far ahead of where I was. But I know I will lose. I've got the feeling it will happen and it is such a good feeling. December 5th I have another consult with Plastics...Ahh the fun begins, all over again.
