Hello Tracy, when I read your post about having a hard time getting in your protein and water. To my understanding you are just 6 weeks out. Your not going to be able to do all that amount so soon. remember that the reason you can't is because your stomach inside is still raw and some what swollen also. that's why you either gag or vomit when trying to eat or drink. this is what my doctor told me. and after I thought about it, it makes sence to me. Just try to do the best you can. In the beginning I sipped my water all day a little at a time, it wasn't much but I manage to do it, then later I'd get 3- 20 oz soda bottles( fill them with water) and drink one in the morning, noon and dinner, and then a cup or so before bedtime. also I would eat lots of watermellon. the water in it kept me from getting dehydrated. I was into my 2nd month when I started eating it and when it came to getting my proteins in. I have never bought protein drinks. NEVER. I get my proteins from my foods. Im a meat eater. My doctor checks my blood to make sure everything is ok. so far it's been good. He said that Im doing good in getting my proteins in. I heard alot of folks say they can't eat meats. hmmmm I found out that if you cook it (pork chops, chicken, beef etc in a crook pot until it's so tender, darn a baby can eat it. or even in the oven covered in some water. Boy! I even put my turkeymeat into my juicer with alittle gravy and I juiced it and dranked it. that's how I got my protein in during my first stage of my diet. I do not eat pasta, rice, potatoes and some veggies because of carbs. I do not miss them at all. I have bought sugar less foods, but not often. I do get a sweet tooth sometimes and that's what I buy. I have learned to boil my hamburger patties, then put reg cheese on it. with a touch of ketcup. and I will eat it that way. I also do not touch breads no kind. I haven't had any since before my operation. also your juices watch the sugars. I've found out that with me. sugar, carbs will put you into a plateau so fast.I think everyone has to try to figure out what works for them. what I figured out is weird but it works for me. Remember the simple rules proteins, water, exercise. You will be just find. believe me I have my days also there's alot of up and downs on this journey. hang in there and feel free to e-mail me anytime. This is my 9th month and I've loss 140 lbs so far. I have much more to loss, I will do this and win. LOL take care hon. **Hugs**

Tracy, Just keep on going! You need to find something to replace the "beloved" food! Something else to "sink your teeth into (so to speak)". oxoxo marcy
