Hi Janet, Just my opinion but I would opt to have the lap and wait for the gallstones to get worse before having the gall bladder removed. If there are no symptoms it could be a very long time before you have to have the surgery and they can probably do that lap also! My grandmother didn't have gallstones till she was 85. Poor woman thought she was having a heart attack. Congrats on your surgery date. It won't be long now and soon you will be on the losing side, getting healthier and stronger every day.
