I've always been overweight. Steadily I gained weight throughout my teens and early twenties until I hit 215 when I was about 24. I managed to lose about 50 lbs. However to lose it I pretty much was starving myself. So I finally got to a point where I was fed up with feeling hungry all the time I gave up. I gained it all back plus some.
When I turned 28 this past February I was determined to get my life in order. The first thing was my arm. I have cerebral palsy in my right arm and protested PT and OT when I became a teenager so it had slowly had become a pain .... literally. Without treatment my first balled up, wrist bent down and elbow tightened up. Addressing this issue was priority. The next thing was my weight. At slightly over 5 feet my weight had hit 220.
I applied to the bariatric program in April and started on my journey. September 24th I got my approval for surgery and it is scheduled for October 30th! I am so excited!!!
