A little about me. I am 29 and closing in on 30 very quickly. UGH. I started looking into WLS in Sept 2005. I decided at that time it just wasnt for me. But this year is my year. I started the process in Octorber 2006 and here it is December and I am waiting on that insurance approval and a surgery date. This is my present to myself. I have two children. Sean is 8, Connor is 3. I need energy and strength to keep up with them. When I did my blood work for the Dr. I found out that I am diabetic. Just another reason to get this done now. I have an Uncle with diabetes who has lost his leg this terrible disease. I dont want to be like that. My mom was also diagnosed with diabetes in Jan.06. I also have an Aunt who has diabetes.Talk about a family problem. I also suffer from GERD,mild sleep apnea,high cholesterol and an overall feeling of suffocating in this body.
