Alison, Don't give up you're quest for the sleeve...Sleeve or Nothing. You are paying you're own money and you deserve to get what you want. If that Dr won't do it then find a doctor that does sleeves and go for it!!!! We are here to cheer you one!

Good luck with financing. It can be very frustrating when you can't get it. I am also looking at going to Dr. Aguierra. I think he is a wonderful surgeon and will hopefully be going within the next month for surgery! My thoughts are with you and I hope you get financing!!!

Still nothing happening here. I'm 38 now and weigh about 330 lbs. Just keep getting bigger! Still trying different diets with no success. My credit isn't good enough to borrow the money from Patient Financial Services, so that's out. I've been trying to find an insurance company who will insure me as an individual, but so far no one will. My ht./wt. ratio is too far off for them. One guy told me that NO-one would insure me because I was a heart attack waiting to happen (thank you very much, that's just what I needed)! I'd contacted lawyers about all the fen-phen I took. They did an Echocardiogram, but I don't qualify for the lawsuit......which is good because that means there is no heart valve damage! But I have to say I was slightly disappointed as I would have used that money to pay for the surgery. I guess that sounds pretty bad..... Anyway, nothing's changed. Still waiting for a miracle like so many others. I come to this site all the time and look at the before and after pics. Just haven't posted anything.....
