I'm finding that as we get closer to the surgery date that my MIL is coming up with all these alternatives and reasons why I shouldn't have the surgery. She doesn't confront me with it, but subjects my husband to her rantings every time they talk. She seems to think that this is something I rushed in to (like that is possible when you are dealing with insurance approval!)
She's overweight too - so my guess is that she could be jealous? She's always trying to keep up with the Jones' and has to have everything she wants... and tries to control all she can.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Advice is welcome!
