surgery done now :)

hey everyone surgery was sept second first thing in the morning had to be there by 7 am so was up at 430 for the drive then we got pulled in at the border for a security check which ate up our early time but we did arrive at five min to 7 ... then a bit of waiting but not too bad  the iv went in smoothly but hurt like heck oh by the way im a big wimp with pain or what i think will hurt lol ... Dr Pesta came in around 730 and told me he was ready to start a lil early so they would take me at 830.. they started to roll me to the OR and that was all i remember  dont even remember arriving at the OR

the next thing i remember was waking to dry heaves and i kept asking did you do it? did you do it?  then more heaves as they said yes they did do it.. then  gave me something for nausea and i kept asking did you do the surgery? cuz i didnt remember anything lol  then the pain hit.. i was out of it for most of the day.. my mom was with me and she was an excellent support .. then around 7 that night they finally got me up for my walk and i was all for it as i just wanted out of the bed so bad .. i hated the bed it made my back hurt lol .. so i walked everytime my back got hurt and in the morning i stayed out of bed as long as i could by sitting in a chair by my bed

the doctors and nurses were all so kind and caring.. very encouraging to me telling me how good i was doing.. encouraging me to walk as much as i did.. i had no complications and am truly thankful for their care of me

came home yesterday (friday the 5th) and slept in my own bed last night -- wooot and moved on to full liquids today tasting food for first time  its the weirdest feeling not to be hungry... and ive kept up my walking.. doing laps of the parking lot at my apartment so far... will venture to the sidewalks tomorrow maybe lol never the less ill be walking
