I finally had surgery and am out of the hospital.  I'm a little sore but doing well other than that!

  Okay, so I got approved at the beginning of June and thought that I would be hearing from the hospital for  my surgery date.  In the middle of the month I got the call.  I was excited, but the problem was that they had scheduled my surgery in July.  This may not sound like a big deal, but affective July 1 my insurance changes. 
I have already called the other insurance and asked what I have to do.  They told me that everything should be fine and that I would be covered.  Then I get a call from the hospital Monday and she tells me that my surgery has been canceled because of the change of insurance.  
My thought was that I had told them about the insurance change since the end of May!!  She acted like it was news tho her. 
I'm feeling so stressed and like this will never happen.  Why didn't they move a little faster? 
I'm just glad we didn't make any reservations before they canceled. 

I just had my 6th visit with my doctor today!! I'm only a few steps away from actually scheduling my surgery!!  The last appointment I have here is next week for my psych eval.  After that appointment I'll be able to petition my insurance and schedule everything else!!
