Hi There!!
I am 43 years old & having gastric bypass surgery in March. I haven't always been overweight. I started working for a large international company 20 years ago & my weight seems to have grown with increased work responsibility & work travel. Add to this, decreasing physical activity & poor eating habits & here I am. I've gained 140 lbs in 17 years. Because I'm single, I've poured everything into my job. I work very long hours & I think the time has come to focus on me & get my health back on track.

I'm very lucky in that my mom lives with me. She's happy to help me out after surgery & I feel very supported at home. I also have great sisters & friends who I know I can count on.

Although I'm cautiously optimistic, I'm also understandably nervous & doing my best to research what is going to happen. I'm hoping that if I have any questions, concerns or just need to talk to someone I can lean on others who are in the same boat. So, in case I forget to say so later, here's a big thank you in advance for any support & advise you may offer.

Andrea
