Happy 4th of July!! It's my 2 week surgiversary! :) I didn't take a pre-op photo, so I am using a photo from January, when I was at my highest of 349. I was down to 301 this morning...the 200's are SOOO close!!! YEAH! I am getting really tired of the full liquid diet, but I couldn't be happier with the surgery! :) I can't wait for all the WOW moments to come!!

Back to work today. Which wasn't too hard since I work from home. lol I'm still having pain in my foot, so I'm thankful I get to sit down for my job. Doing okay with the diet...though cooking that fish and fries for the kids last night nearly killed me! lol I wasn't hungry, but MAN did that fish smell good!! My co-supervisor handed in her resignation yesterday, so it looks like some crazy days ahead for me! :oP I'm happy to report that I woke up 3 lbs lighter today! For a total of 13lbs lost since surgery day! :)

Got home yesterday afternoon, but couldn't get over to the puter. :oP Everything has gone so well! Surgery went smoothly, recovery has been going very well. I had no problems with nausea or tolerating liquids. I had a protein shake for breakfast this morning, and it wasn't too bad. lol I think the worst part has been my foot! When I went to stand up for my leak test on Wed, I felt a sharp stabbing pain by my ankle...thought maybe a blood vessel broke or something, though I didn't see any bruising. Well yesterday, the pain moved to my heel, and it's making it really hard for me to walk, which is an important part of the healing process! I have an appt. on Monday morning with Dr. Rowitz, and I'll talk to him about it if it isn't any better. :( Having a little bit of the post surgery blues today, but not so bad. I couldn't be happier with how well surgery and the hospital stay went. The kids are instrigued by my lap wounds. lol So far they are healing well...Lord willing they will heal up with no problems. :) They took the drain out before I left for the hospital, so I'm very happy about that! So here I am....sleeping is still very uncomfy since I only like sleeping on my side. Can't do that yet! I'm so happy to be on the losing side!!

Well, I called the insurance this morning, and I AM APPROVED!!!! WHOOHOOOO!! Ok, now time to get nervous about the surgery! Eeek!
Called Dr. Rowitz office, but because I was "tentatively" put on the 19th, he is now booked up for that day! :( The girl who does scheduling will try to see if Dr. R can squeeze me in on the 19th or 20th, but if not, it looks like my date will be July 17th. Soooo, whatever will be, will be. :) I am just happy to be approved!!! Eeeeeeeee!!!!
**Update! Got a call from Dr. R's office, and they are squeezing me in on June 20th!! YAY!!! Everyone from Dr's R's office has been so nice...very easy to work with! :)

Still waiting....waiting is SOOO hard!! I was hoping and praying to hear something this week, but nope. Praying for an approval to come next week!!

I have a date! June 19, 2006! My packet is being sent off for approval today to the insurance...praying they are quick to say YES!! :)
Nutritional consult

Had my nutritional consultation...went pretty good. Got some good info about what foods and when the various stages of eating are after surgery. Her office is right next door to Dr. Rowitz, so hopefully she will be quick with her report! Once Dr. R's office has the psych and nut reports, they can send my info off to the insurance!! PLEASE Lord, let it come back with a QUICK approval!!!

Had my psych evaluation today! All seems to be okay with that...hoping she gets her report back to Dr. R's office quickly!!

Consult with Dr. Rowitz went really well. He's not sure if he can perform lap on me or not. He suggested trying to lose weight with Atkins, so that is what I am going to do!
