"Hello, I am 3 yrs and a little over a month post op (7/2/04) and I owe Dr King my life in more ways than 1. I am currently at 167 and this is more than ideal for my height of 6 ft. I am so pleased with my success. I lost my insurance less than a yr after surgery and I have not seen Dr. King but I know he would be pleased with my success. I have no issues at this time unless I am 'stupid' and eat too much. LOL. I dump on sugars so I stay away from them for the most part. The edema is all but gone. Except around the cycle time. So I am NORMAL now. I am running and biking and doing things that I never dreamed 'I' would be able to do. I am fitter now than I was in HS and I am beyond HAPPY! I am sure Dr. King is still as GREAT as he was for me and I would still highly reccommend him to anyone interested in surgery. I would also recommend the surgery to anyone. rnrnWell my first impression was of the office staff. Can you say AWESOME??? Anyway, my appt was at 2 pm. My husband and I had traveled 3 1/2 hours to Oxford and got there early. I visited with the Liv-Lite girls for about 20 minutes and then proceeded to the apt. After checking in and filling out paperwork at about 1:45 pm. We were called back at exactly 2 pm (can you say WOW?) We then spoke to the nurse for about 10 minutes, going over history and such. She gave us an album of before and afters (WOW). We had not even really finished looking over that when Dr. King came in. He answered all of our questions and went over any and all complications in detail! Very impressive, and VERY professional. Then came the exam. He was very courteous and told me that my edema was pretty bad, but would definately improve. Answered some more questions. He then proceeded to complete the appt and gave me my future appt instructions. Overall I was very impressed and my husband was as well (and that is saying something). Would definately recommend him to others.rn"
