Well, the other day there was a conversation about neurontin and whether it causes weight gain. I said at that time that I didn't find it to bad before surgery and would continue to take it! Stupid, stupid............While in the hospital they stopped this med and told me I could take it at home if I opened the capsule, well I couldn't get it down without vomiting so waited to see Dr Roye. During the first 11 days I lost 15lbs. (without the drug), then saw Dr Roye he said ok take the capsule ( I have Fibromyalgia) so I did. Since then 7 days later not 1 lb lost! Everything else is good, the food, protein, liquids, bowel movements, all of it.
So I have begun reducing to stopping this med, and will talk to prescribing Dr as soon as she is back from vacation. I only hope the Fibro stays quiet for now.
Any other suggestions?
