March update

Mar 04, 2009

Well I am on the ride of my life! I am so happy that I have decided to have this wonderful surgery called the sleeve. I have lost a total of 35 +/- 2 pounds since January and I couldn't be more estatic.  My clothes feel better, my back is not hurting anymore. I'm in a size 16 (temporarily), my goal is to get to a size 10/12 or an 8/10. Its a wonderful ride! I will be updating my pictures soon.

8 days of 1000 calories

Jan 04, 2009

Well yesterday officially started my WLS journey. Surgery date is Jan 12. I started doing my 1000 calorie diet which of course is hard when you've been eating everything and anything. I bought all the vitamins that I'd need and probably bought more than I needed to. I have been so tense the last couple of days thinking about this surgery. II think too much! 'm a gemini, and sometimes my thoughts get the best of me. Overall, I'm excited and nervous and I'm ready to start my new life. By summer I have a very good idea of what i want to look like, so I hope I achieve those goals. I have no choice I will achieve those goals. I will continue to stay prayed up and thank the good Lord for this amazing opportunity.

Gastric Bypass it is!

Nov 23, 2008

Well, I know I keep flip flopping. But my doctor wants me to have the gastric bypass. I'm ok with it, but this whole process is just draining. I'm ready for it to come and go. So I can start my new life.

Yesterday was my consult with Dr. Zeni. I really like him because he's genuine. I went to the consult with the thought of having gastric bypass, but he suggested I have the sleeve. After I did some research, I actually felt that the sleeve is better for me. My tentative surgery date is Jan 12, 2009. I'm so excited. But I don't think the people around me are. They support me, but they are not very happy about my decision. Which is fine. Everyones entitled to their opinion. But most of them don't understand my struggle with weight. Oh well!

Life changing journey

Oct 14, 2008

101208, I made the decision to have lap rouxny. Now comes the journey of finding a surgeon (which I think I may have found), and going through the whole insurance fiasco. I have scheduled an appt to go to a seminar, and from there I will officially start getting my paperwork to submit to the insurance companies together. I haven't really told anyone about what I plan to do because I don't want any negativity. I did however, tell my mother and she wasn't too thrilled, but totally supports me. See we are all we have, me being her only child and all. I told my 8 year old, but he barely understood, but he will. I am so ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
