I pray that your surgery is quick and painless. Lord Bless you.. You'll be on the losing side soon, and never have to turn back to the "Fat" side again. Lord Bless you abundantly!!

Maureen, That is a pretty wonderful name isn't it? You are right, it must give me some of that determination that seems to pay off in the end. You are right about this surgery really being the answer...but it still requires work...I know that you are there though. This waiting and delayed appointments etc it truly the worst part. Recovery will seem like a breeze after the emotional roller coaster we ride those months before the surgery. Write anytime if you need to vent or question...keep writing in the journal...it is critical! I am sending all positive thoughts your way. You are already beautiful and your life will just get better. -Another Maureen

Maureen, wanted to let you know I am praying everything goes well for you for your appt this week and I wanted to let you know that WLS has been the best thing for me and I believe this surgery will help you feel 100% better. I too was depressed preop and since surgery, well actually a couple of months post op have quit Prozac and feel wonderful. Now, I have so much more energy to enjoy the Beautiful pre spring days now and do my gardening myself instead of watching my DH. I want to thank you so much for referring me to the Fitday.com website. That website was actually what I was looking for and more. Good luck on your journey!

Hi Maureen, I was feeling a little down today because of all my health problems and now I have the possibility of my surgery being cancelled because of one particular problem. I hope not!! I'm having an Open RNY March 26th, at least, I hope so!!! Anyway, I read your profile and how a simple hello or a congratulations from a complete stranger really can lift your spirits. It made me feel so much better reading all the posts to my profile page. I opened the windows in my apt and listened to the birds chirping this morning and children outside playing on this absolutely beautiful 66 degree South Jersey afternoon and I felt bad because earlier I was depressed. There is always someone else in worse shape and now I'm happy and excited again about my surgery and I feel optimistic about that one health problem, that it will be resolved so I can still have my surgery. Thankyou for sharing your thoughts and making me realize, to appreciate the little things in life. ps I love all your bears on your profile page!
