Dear Maureen:
I am so sorry that you are having breathing difficulties. Nothing like feeling as if you're suffocating to help ease your anxiety! I have been battling bronchitus for three weeks now, and have been unable to sleep in my bed, because I feel like I'm suffocating when I lay down. I know how scary it feels to not be able to catch your breath. You are lucky that your employer has been willing to work with you as far as sitting down for part of the day. I am an activities director and they have reduced the hours in my department by 48 hours per week in the last 6 months. I have lost two assistants. Now it is just me and one assistant. I am so looking forward to my surgery and being off my feet for a few weeks! If you can raise your arms over your head even just a little bit, it will help your lungs to stay clear of fluid. Best wishes on your journey to health.
