Under 200 pounds!!
Sep 15, 2009
I'm now down to 199 lbs. I can't remember that last time I was under 200 lbs. Probably about 10 years ago. I just started getting into Mt. biking. Joined a locate club. I think I finally got my bike picked out $$$ (expensive sport). I have been playing tennis for exercise but my tennis partner move out of state. I don't enjoy going to the gym. So I had to find an exercise I liked and know I will do. Besides my thighs need some help.
I feel great!! Probably need to work on eatting more calories still! I eat mostly protein. I stay away from simple carbs (everything white). I still can't stomach the protein drinks but I'm going to have to drink at least 4 oz after a ride, reguardless of how it make my stomach feel. Someone told me to try soy protein. They said it is easier on your stomach.

I went to the emergency. They believe it was a kidney stone and give my delothen? it is the strongest pain medication they give. It stopping the pain but made me sick to my stomach, dizzy, and light head. It was terrible. They did a CT and found a kidney stone between my kidney and bladder. They gave me pain medication and sent me home to pass the stone. I sleep most of the day. I have wonderful luck.

My hospital stay!
Mar 25, 2009
I got to St. Vincents East on 03/23/2009 at 5am. By 6:30am I was out like a light. I did bring white cotton socks because they told me I could wear them in surgery, which I was glad because it was cold. About 10:30 am Dr. Schmitt came out and told my mom I was out of surgery and surgery when great .
By 12 noon I was awaking up in my room with my mom there. I'm not going to lie the pain was bad and I was in a panic, but I have a very low pain tolerance. The pain was from the gas they use to expanded your abdomen to the surgery lap. By 1pm, i was up walking the hallway. Yes, it hurt but it got the gas moving so I never ended up with gas pain in my shoulder which I heard is very painful.
I was able to get in and out of bed by myself and walked the hallway often. I got my morphine every hour because I was scared of it wearing off. Dr. Miles (Dr. Schmitt partner) came and checked on me and said I could start drinking liquids in the morning.
I could not sleep more than 3 hours at a time.
03/24/2009
I got my liquid breakfast. I eat half a popsicle, couple spoons of broth and black coffee. Then I got to take a hot shower and that felt great. I got switched to liquid Lortab Elixir instead of Morphine which was a lot better for the pain. Pain was a lot better. I drink, walked and sleep.
03/25/2009
I had coffee and broth for breakfast. Take a shower. Then I got my IV and drain out. The drain did not hurt getting removed, it just feel funny. Then, I got to go home from the hospital.
Note: Take a pillow with you for the car ride home to put pressure on your stomach. The gas really started to move around on the way home.
Pre op testing done!!
